Meet the Doctor

Dr. Brian Carney is an Optometrist serving Plymouth, MI and the surrounding communities. He finished his undergraduate degree in 1991 at Alma College. In 1995, Dr. Brian M. Carney completed his graduate studies at the Illinois College of Optometry and has been in practice for the last sixteen years. He specializes in dry eye treatments and hard to fit contacts, such as multifocal lenses. Dr. Brian M. Carney is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association. He is the only fourth generation Optometrist in the state of Michigan, and is a life-long resident of Plymouth. He and his wife, Lisa, are the proud parents of three daughters.

Dr. Carney enjoys caring for the patients at Benchmark Optical and looks forward to the one-on-one interaction involved with solving eye health and vision problems.  Dr. Carney and the entire staff at Benchmark Optical are 100 percent committed to providing first class eye care services.
